The Austria Wien women's team has signed Austrian national team player Verena Hanshaw, who returns to Vienna after 16 years abroad from English top-flight club West Ham United.
The Austria Wien women's team, the reigning champions of the Austrian Women's Bundesliga, has signed Verena Hanshaw. The 32-year-old defender moves from English top-flight club West Ham United to the capital and is set to strengthen the club's defense.
Hanshaw has plenty of international experience. According to the club, she has made 131 appearances for the Austrian national team before returning to play in Vienna after 16 years abroad. Prior to her spell at West Ham United, she played for SC Freiburg and 1. FFC Frankfurt, among others, and is also affiliated with Austrian club USC Landhaus.
