The Austrian Bundesliga title race will reach its climax this weekend as LASK aims to secure their second championship in history with a final-round showdown against Wiener Austria.

Title Race Down to the Wire

LASK enters the final round with a narrow lead over Sturm Graz, both teams having suffered eight losses this season. A draw would be enough for LASK to clinch the title, marking their first championship since 1965. Historically, only three times has a team overtaken the leader in the final round to win the title, making LASK’s position statistically favorable.

Sturm Graz, however, has been involved in seven of the eight title deciders since the introduction of the three-point system in the 1995/96 season. Last year, they secured the championship with a 1-1 draw against WAC, demonstrating their experience in high-pressure finales.
