Austrian director Sandra Wollner won the top prize in the Un Certain Regard section at the 79th Cannes Film Festival on Saturday for her film 'Everytime'.

The 43-year-old filmmaker, born in Leoben and now based in Berlin, received the award for her third feature film following 'Das unmögliche Bild' and 'The Trouble with Being Born'. The jury, led by French actress Leila Bekhti, recognized Wollner's poignant storytelling in 'Everytime', which examines grief and family bonds.

(I want to hold on to the peculiar and strange thoughts that artists often initially ignore but that tend to stay with one longer).
