In a fire in a barn in Carinthia on Friday, two pigs died; the 74-year-old owner and his 17-year-old daughter were injured and taken to hospitals.
According to police, two pigs died in the fire in Carinthia. "They perished due to the fire in the barn," officials from the local police inspection stated. The barn owner and his daughter were injured to an undetermined degree and admitted to the hospitals in Spittal an der Drau and Villach.
Extent of the Damage
According to current findings, the flames did not spread to adjacent buildings. As the emergency services reported, the fire was prevented from spreading to neighboring houses. However, the heat development was so intense that several windows of adjacent residential houses and other buildings shattered.
