A bathing accident occurred at Vienna's most popular outdoor pool, the Gänsehäufel on the Old Danube in Donaustadt, on Saturday morning shortly after 10 a.m. As a police spokesperson confirmed, a person was pulled from the water and subsequently had to be resuscitated by the emergency services.
According to the Vienna Police, the affected person is a 59-year-old. No further details were initially known about his exact state of health or the possible background to the incident.
