The CDU and SPD parliamentary groups in the Berlin House of Representatives presented a preliminary conclusion on Monday from the investigation committee into the funding scandal in the area of antisemitism and held the culture administration responsible for unlawful administrative action.

According to the two coalition factions, the committee concluded that the awarding practice for funds against antisemitism was evidently unlawful. Stephan Lenz (CDU) said they had established that there was unlawful administrative action. The committee, however, was unable to prove any impermissible political influence, nepotism, or corruption.
