A driver rammed a vehicle into a crowd attending Berlin's Christopher Street Day Pride parade late Saturday, killing at least one person and injuring at least 17 others before police cancelled the remainder of the celebration and launched a manhunt.

Attack in Tiergarten

The incident occurred shortly before 10:00 p.m. local time in Tiergarten Park, close to the Brandenburg Gate, where hundreds of thousands of people had gathered peacefully for one of Europe's largest LGBTQ+ celebrations. According to Berlin police, a driver in a white vehicle struck several people, after which the Christopher Street Day parade and its associated festivities were called off.
