Changeable Week in Austria: Sun, Clouds and Isolated Thunderstorms with Moderate Warmth

Tuesday: Clouds and Thunderstorms in the South

On Tuesday, the weather initially looks similar: At first, the sun still shines frequently. During the course of the day, however, more and more clouds become noticeable, especially from East Tyrol to Southern Burgenland. Here as well as in the mountainous regions, rain showers form that may be thundery. Local thunderstorms are likely mainly in the south. With a brisk wind from west to north, temperatures drop back a little further to a maximum of 26 degrees. It will be warmest in the east.

Wednesday: Sun in the West and South

By the middle of the week, sunshine predominates in the west and south. Especially in the eastern half of Austria, quite dense clouds will pass through temporarily, although rain showers are only expected in isolated areas. With a brisk northwesterly wind, temperatures hardly change and reach a maximum of 27 degrees.

Thursday: Changeable with Showers

Thursday is characterized by changeable weather: a mix of clouds, sun and thundery rain showers. These are to be expected mainly from Salzburg eastwards; further west and in the south, it rains only in places and briefly. Between the showers, the sun also comes out for longer here. With a at times strong northwesterly wind, it gets a little cooler, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 25 degrees.

Friday: Mostly Sunny

On Friday, the sun shines across most of Austria. Only in the northeast is it still changeable with a few rain showers. By the evening, however, the showers and clouds will gradually decrease there as well. It will be a touch warmer, with temperatures rising to a maximum of 27 or 28 degrees.

Temperatures at a Glance

For the early temperatures, the meteorologists at Geosphere Austria continue to expect a wide range: In the morning, temperatures span six to 17 degrees, in the afternoon with light wind 20 to 27 degrees. When getting up, it is between seven and 17 degrees, during the day the thermometer climbs to 17 to 25 degrees. The early temperatures lie between eight and 16 degrees, the afternoon temperatures between 19 and 27 degrees. The minimum temperatures are, according to the Geosphere forecast, five to 16 degrees, the daytime highs 20 to 28 degrees. In the morning, temperatures between seven and 18 degrees are to be expected, during the day 22 to 29 degrees.
