The coming week will bring high-summer temperatures to Austria. After a somewhat cooler Wednesday on which peak values remained consistently below 30 degrees, a new heat phase is announced according to the available forecasts. Daily highs are expected to be widely above the 30-degree mark in the coming days, with up to 35 degrees expected in some regions.

On Thursday, July 9, a yellow warning is in effect for parts of the country. It will be particularly hot in the south of Carinthia, around the cities of Villach and Klagenfurt, according to the meteorologists' assessment. Early morning temperatures at the start of the week are between twelve and 20 degrees, with daytime values climbing to 27 to 34 degrees. In the following days, temperatures will continue to rise.
