The connection between Charlotte Würdig and Paul Würdig, who as Sido is one of Germany's most successful rappers, was a media topic for years. The two married in 2012 and separated in 2020. That the timing appears deliberate is underscored by the upcoming TV appearance: with the RTL show "Bad Boyfriends - Jetzt wird abgerechnet", Engelhardt is getting a new format in which she will appear as host. The Cologne-based broadcaster had announced the format, and details about the concept and air date were made public in recent weeks.

In German celebrity reporting, it is not unusual for TV hosts and actresses to return to their maiden name after a split. That Engelhardt is now openly communicating this and presenting the step as self-determined is seen by observers as a conscious handling of her own public history.
