Two children were injured on Tuesday in high-ropes courses in Lower Austria: In Mönichkirchen (Neunkirchen district), an eight-year-old boy collided with his father on a steel cable slide; in Gänserndorf, a nine-year-old girl fell approximately four meters.

Two Incidents in a Single Day

As police announced in a press release on Tuesday, both incidents occurred in climbing parks in Lower Austria. An eight-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl were injured. According to initial investigations, both accidents unfolded differently than planned.

According to police, the boy was on a steel cable slide in Mönichkirchen in the early evening. He had reportedly not yet detached himself from the safety system when his father followed him. The movement of the cable caused the eight-year-old to slide toward the man and was seriously injured in the collision.
