In Havana on Wednesday, numerous party cadres, officials, and invited guests gathered for a ceremony intended to honor the birthday of the revolutionary leader. The program at the Karl Marx Theater featured speeches and cultural contributions through which the Communist Party sought to commemorate Castro's legacy. The event was broadcast by state media across the country.
