Autopsy to provide clarity

To determine the cause of death, the Karlsruhe Local Court (Amtsgericht Karlsruhe) has ordered an autopsy of the bodies. The forensic medical examination is to be carried out during the course of the week, according to investigators. Only the autopsy is to provide information as to what the married couple died of and whether third-party fault can actually be ruled out.

The apartment in which the couple was found is located in the Heidelsheim part of Bruchsal in the Karlsruhe district in Baden-Württemberg. Bruchsal-Heidelsheim is a district with predominantly residential development; investigators provided no further details about the exact property.
