Deadly Violence in Hildesheim: 30-Year-Old in Pre-Trial Detention After Wife's Death

A female resident had called the police to the multi-family building after the 30-year-old had behaved suspiciously in the stairwell around midnight. Officers encountered the 30-year-old man at the scene. He had been "not accessible" ("nicht zugänglich"), according to the police. Provisional arrest: A 30-year-old man was provisionally detained.

When the officers entered the man's apartment, they discovered the lifeless body of the woman. Emergency services could only confirm her death.

The following day, a judge in Hildesheim issued an arrest warrant against the 30-year-old man. The charge is strong suspicion of manslaughter. Furthermore, there is a risk of flight. The accused has been transferred to a correctional facility.
