Denmark is recording a new record in foreign overnight stays according to the business association Dansk Industri, with guests from Germany accounting by far for the largest share.

The Danish tourism sector is experiencing an extraordinary summer: never before have so many foreign guests spent the night in the Nordic country as this year. This is according to current analyses by the business association Dansk Industri, which were also picked up by the news agency Ritzau.

The association registered a rise in foreign overnight stays to a record level over the course of the current season. While the entire industry perceives the summer as strong, the picture varies by country of origin: German travelers form by far the largest group among foreign guests.
