Drunk driver plunges around 150 meters down forest road in Tux

Sequence of the accident

A breathalyzer test conducted on the driver revealed significant intoxication. With injuries of undetermined severity, the driver was taken to the Schwaz district hospital.

Six members of the Tux mountain rescue service were deployed, along with the Tux and Mayrhofen fire departments with a combined 50 members, an emergency doctor, and two ambulances. The Tux mountain rescue service freed the 20-year-old from the vehicle and handed him over to the emergency doctor on the forest road.

Rescue operation at high altitude
