According to police, the explosion occurred around 4:10 a.m. The detonation caused the bicycle parking area on Bahnhofstraße to catch fire completely. An adjacent hedge was also partially reached by the flames.
Two uninvolved helpers noticed the incident during the night: A firefighter and a police officer who were off duty saw the fire and immediately alerted emergency services. According to the responders, their quick action helped prevent the fire from spreading further.
