E-Bike battery triggers residential house fire in Klam – resident and daughter escape in time

The fire brigade deployed with several emergency vehicles to extinguish the flames in the basement and prevent the fire from spreading to other floors of the building. The municipality of Klam is located in the district of Perg in Upper Austria. The region has repeatedly been the scene of similar incidents in recent years in which lithium batteries triggered fires. The responsible emergency services cordoned off the area around the residential house so as not to hinder the firefighting operations. For the affected family, the fire means the loss of part of their living space and their belongings.
