An approximately eight-year-old cyclist collided with a car at Südtiroler Platz in Innsbruck on Saturday afternoon; the Traffic Inspectorate Wilten is now seeking witnesses as well as the affected boy and his legal guardians.

On Saturday afternoon, July 4, a traffic accident occurred at Südtiroler Platz in Innsbruck involving a car and an approximately eight-year-old cyclist. According to the Traffic Inspectorate Wilten, the incident took place at the intersection with Salurnerstraße.

A 59-year-old car driver from Spain initially stopped at a pedestrian crossing at the intersection with Salurnerstraße to let several pedestrians pass. When he then continued his journey at walking speed, the boy rode his bicycle from the sidewalk into Salurnerstraße and crashed into the front of the car. The child fell as a result.
