Krefeld, 21 August 2026
Eintracht Frankfurt has reached the second round of the DFB-Pokal with an emphatic 11:0 victory at cup newcomer SC St. Tönis in the sold-out Krefeld Grotenburg.
The highest competitive match victory in Eintracht Frankfurt's club history falls exactly on the opening of the new cup season. At Oberliga side SC St. Tönis, who were playing their very first DFB-Pokal match, the Hessians dominated from the opening whistle and at no point left any doubt about the distribution of roles.
Dominance from the start
In front of 10,000 spectators in the sold-out Grotenburg, an unforgettable evening unfolded for the underdog from St. Tönis, on which sporting class and cup romance clashed in irreconcilable fashion. Frankfurt exploited its on-field superiority consistently and found the net at almost regular intervals.
