The English national football team has celebrated winning its group at the World Cup in the USA with a 2-0 victory against Panama and advanced to the Round of 16, while striker Harry Kane surpassed a record held by Gary Lineker with his goal.

Thomas Tuchel's side came from behind in the second half to win 2-0 (0-0) against Panama. In front of 80,663 spectators, it took until the 62nd minute before Jude Bellingham broke the deadlock with his left foot from a corner to make it 1-0. The Real Madrid professional, at the club since 2023, capped a strong performance by also providing the assist for the second goal.
