First European Championship medal for Pfeif/Wassen: Silver in synchronized diving from the platform

The day before, Jack Laugher from Great Britain had taken second place in the men's one-meter springboard final with 418.25 points. His teammate Jordan Houlden completed the British one-two podium in third place with 410.30 points. The men's one-meter springboard competition thus went extremely well from a British perspective.

Pfeif and Wassen delivered a largely synchronous and technically clean competition that convinced the judges. It was not quite enough for gold, but second place represents an important success for the German team in a discipline in which the Federal Republic has ranked among the extended world elite for years.
