Pauline Pfeif and Ole Rösler have won the silver medal in the mixed synchronized 10-meter platform diving at the European Swimming Championships in Paris.

In the final of the mixed competition on the highest platform, Pfeif and Rösler delivered a strong performance and secured second place after six consistent dives. It marked another medal for the German Swimming Federation (Deutscher Schwimm-Verband) at a continental championship. Their position heading into the final was promising, meaning the chance of a medal had already been within reach before the final.

Qualification as a springboard

The two had already impressed in qualification with a clean performance and secured their place in the final. Along the way, they demonstrated synchronicity and nerves of steel – qualities that also made the difference in the final. The coaching team had adjusted the choreography of the dives several times in the weeks beforehand in order to further refine the harmony of their movements.
