In Italian Friuli, approximately 815 hectares of forest burned in a forest fire, while emergency services from Carinthia, with an average of 18 personnel per day, were involved in the firefighting efforts and have not yet given the all-clear.

Extent of the fire

According to consistent reports from the command centers, the forest fire in the Friuli region has destroyed an area of approximately 815 hectares of forest. The flames spread over several days in the mountains around Monte Amariana and Monte Nero and also affected the municipal area of Amaro as well as the Province of Udine.

From Carinthia, an average of 18 people per day were deployed to neighboring Friuli throughout the entire operation period. According to the information, those involved included the District Administration of Spittal an der Drau, the municipality of Weißensee, the fire department, the police, the water rescue service, the Austrian Federal Forests (Österreichische Bundesforste), and the disaster relief service of the State of Carinthia.
