A forest fire in the Serra de Collserola on the outskirts of Barcelona is under control, after around 54.5 hectares of woodland and scrubland burned, according to the Catalan forestry and environmental organization Agents Rurals.

The flames broke out in the mountain range northwest of the Catalan capital and spread over an area of about 54.5 hectares, according to Agents Rurals. The major firefighting operation lasted into the night to Wednesday. Emergency services managed to bring the blaze under control late in the evening.
