A wildfire in the southern Spanish province of Huelva had spread to around 8,000 hectares by Sunday, according to the Andalusian emergency commissioner Antonio Sanz.
The flames in the Andalusian province of Huelva continued to spread through Sunday. According to the Andalusian emergency commissioner Antonio Sanz, an area of around 8,000 hectares was ultimately affected. Emergency services battled against the spread of the fire under difficult conditions.
Extent of the fire
The fire is occurring at a time when several regions in Spain are occupied with fighting wildfires. In other parts of the country as well, including the province of Castellón and in the central region, emergency services were deployed. The authorities coordinated the measures between the affected regions.
