A small plane launched in Austria crashed on the Croatian peninsula of Istria on Thursday, killing all four occupants.
According to Croatian media, the Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft was registered in Germany. It had taken off in Austria and, according to Croatian broadcaster HRT, was heading for the town of Medulin. Near the local sports airfield and the village of Campanoz, the plane entered an unclear state of spin and hit the ground.
All four people on board died on impact. The national Croatian fire brigade association confirmed that the crash site is located near the Medulin sports airfield. Firefighters and rescue services were on site on Thursday. An AFP photo showed the German flag on the tail of the wreckage.
