Alleghe, 29 May 2026
Felix Gall of Austria defended his second place in the general classification at the Giro d'Italia on Friday, finishing fourth on the mountainous queen stage from Feltre to Alleghe.
The 151-kilometer stage, the third-to-last day of the 109th edition of the race, featured six Dolomite passes and approximately 5,000 meters of elevation gain. Riders faced scorching heat as thousands of cycling fans lined the route.
Stage victory went to American Sepp Kuss, a teammate of overall leader Jonas Vingegaard. Kuss, normally a key domestique for the Danish rider, was allowed to ride for himself on this stage and made his decisive move past Italian Giulio Ciccone 2.2 kilometers before the finish.
