The Green politician Leonore Gewessler called on Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker (ÖVP) on Monday to advance women's policy reforms such as the Pay Transparency Directive and the expansion of childcare places.
Demands on the Chancellor
At a press conference, Gewessler addressed the Federal Chancellor directly. She pointed to the need to transpose the EU Pay Transparency Directive into national law, to split parental leave on a partnership basis between fathers and mothers, and to provide sufficient childcare places. "Machen Sie Politik für Frauen", was her appeal to Stocker.
