Bundesliga side Hamburger SV is negotiating with Arsenal over a loan move for Portuguese midfielder Fabio Vieira, who has reportedly travelled to Hamburg to undergo a medical check.
The pursuit of Fabio Vieira by Hamburger SV has moved into its decisive phase, with the Portuguese attacker said to be already in the Hanseatic city to complete the customary medical examinations. According to a report in the "Hamburger Abendblatt", Vieira flew from London to Hamburg in order to undergo those tests, a routine step before any transfer or loan can be formally completed.
HSV's director of professional football, Claus Costa, is leading the negotiations with the London-based Gunners. The Bundesliga club has identified the 25-year-old as a priority target to strengthen its attacking options, and the two clubs are understood to be working through the remaining contractual details. A loan arrangement, rather than a permanent transfer, is the structure under discussion.
