Heat Warning in Austria: Temperatures Reach Up to 34 Degrees

On Wednesday, the unsettled trend continues. According to the forecast, low pressure will continue to drive a rising likelihood of thunderstorms, while the sun shines longer in the lowlands and values reach up to 32 degrees.

On Friday, air pressure will drop again in western Austria, increasing the risk of thunderstorms from Vorarlberg to the Salzkammergut. In the far east of the country, however, it will remain cloudless, and temperatures will climb back up to as high as 34 degrees.

The distribution of the heat is therefore uneven: while the west must increasingly reckon with thunderstorms, dry, hot summer weather holds on in the east of the country. Meteorologists are continuing to closely monitor the development of the air pressure.
