Meteorologists from the German weather service DWD and the ARD Wetterkompetenzzentrum forecast for the weekend in northern Germany temperatures up to 35 degrees in the Hannover area, with values around 30 degrees also along the coasts of Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

According to forecasts released on Tuesday, temperatures will rise progressively starting Thursday, reaching up to 28 degrees in Schleswig-Holstein, up to 27 degrees in Hamburg, and up to 28 degrees in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. ARD Wetterkompetenzzentrum meteorologist Tim Staeger explained that relatively cool Atlantic air had affected Lower Saxony in recent days, but that the circulation pattern is changing.
