A humpback whale has once again been sighted off the Danish Baltic coast, prompting rescue services to urge the public to observe the animal from a safe distance.

The sighting occurred near Aarhus on the east coast of Jutland. According to reports, rescue services carefully monitored the situation and remained in contact with experts. The animal was reported in waters between the Jutland peninsula and the Baltic Sea island of Anholt.
The responsible response teams issued a clear request to boat owners, walkers and tourists: "Wir bitten daher alle, den Wal in Ruhe zu lassen und ihn aus sicherer Entfernung zu beobachten." According to officials, boats should not approach the animal. The authorities stressed that they do not generally intervene in the lives of free-living whales.
