Hungary's newly elected Prime Minister Peter Magyar visited Poland on Tuesday to strengthen regional cooperation and discuss shared pro-European goals.
The trip comes just weeks after Magyar's center-right Tisza Party won a landslide victory in Hungary's parliamentary elections, ending 16 years of rule by Viktor Orbán's Fidesz party.
Magyar met with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Kraków, where the two leaders agreed on the need for 'a strong, competitive Central Europe that is proud of itself' within the EU framework.
The Hungarian leader emphasized that decisions about regional cooperation must be coordinated among all Visegrád Group (V4) countries - Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
