Frankfurt am Main, 06 August 2026
Commerzbank has posted strong half-year figures, while Italy's UniCredit now has access to almost half of the shares in the Frankfurt-based institution.
The Frankfurt-based bank can look back on a solid first half of the year. As the figures presented show, the key revenue and cost developments performed better than analysts had expected. Among other things, the bank benefited from robust interest business with German mid-sized companies and a renewed rise in demand for corporate loans. The private customer business also contributed stably to the result.
