Iran has suspended the framework agreement reached with the US in mid-June and accused the US of having violated its obligations under the Islamabad memorandum of understanding through aggressive measures.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi stated on Friday in a television interview that the framework agreement with the United States no longer has any validity. The suspension was reported by the Iranian news agency Fars. Gharibabadi justified the step with alleged violations by the US side of the agreement reached in June.
The Iranian non-compliance with the agreement was a direct response to US violations, the deputy foreign minister further explained.
