German freestyle swimmer Isabel Gose has won the silver medal in the 800-meter freestyle at the European Swimming Championships in Paris. This puts her back on the podium after two European Championship titles previously earned in Paris.
Gose's third medal in Paris
Gose was already a two-time European champion in the ongoing competition before the 800-meter freestyle race. She had initially won gold in Paris in the sprint event and then with the German relay. The third podium finish thus completes a successful title week for the swimmer from Magdeburg.
The race over the longest freestyle distance for women took place in Paris. Gose had already attracted international attention on multiple occasions in recent years in the 800 meters and counts among the European elite in this discipline.
