In the case of Jenni Scharinger, who has been missing since January 2018, the Vienna Public Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against her then-partner, accusing him of the murder of the then-21-year-old and the concealment of her body in the Großweikersdorf area.

Starting Point: Disappearance Under Suspicious Circumstances

The Vienna Public Prosecutor's Office alleges that the now 32-year-old accused killed the then-21-year-old Jenni Scharinger in her apartment in Vienna-Brigittenau in January 2018 and subsequently hid her remains in the Lower Austrian district of Tulln. In addition to the murder charge, the prosecutor also requested his placement in a forensic-therapeutic center under § 21/2 of the Criminal Code, as well as placement in an institution for offenders in need of withdrawal treatment (addiction) under § 22 (1) StGB.
