Man arrested after attacks on four stores in Berlin-Charlottenburg

First incident on Wilmersdorfer Straße

About 20 minutes later, the same man is alleged to have struck again at a store on the same street. According to the available information, he took the money from the register of a 32-year-old employee while she was checking out a customer.

The confirmed facts provide no information on the total amount of money stolen or any possible injuries. The exact sequence of the individual attacks is also not fully described. The investigation is therefore ongoing.

The arrest initially prevented further immediate offenses, as stated in the Berlin police report. The authorities are continuing their investigation to reconstruct the course of the attacks and clarify possible motives.

Police continue investigation

The incidents occurred on busy shopping streets in Berlin. For the affected stores and the people working there, such a sequence of events places a considerable burden. Berlin police therefore continue to rely on information about the incidents.

In addition to evidence from the stores, footage from surveillance cameras or witness information may also be relevant. However, the confirmed facts contain no further details on this. Any more detailed public account would entail speculation about the specific course of events.

Information for further investigations

The arrested man must now face the further investigations and possible court proceedings. It cannot be determined from the available information how the competent public prosecutor's office assesses his situation or whether grounds for detention exist.

Police confirmed the account of the robbery on Wilmersdorfer Straße to three sources as having occurred about 20 minutes after the first incident. This section of the events can therefore be considered confirmed, while some information about the other stores continues to be based on media reports.
