Motorcycle collides with stroller at pedestrian crossing in Tyrol – toddler injured

The impact threw the stroller several meters, and it came to rest on its side. The one-year-old child was properly strapped in given the circumstances and, according to the emergency services, remained in the child's seat of the stroller during the crash. The stroller itself sustained considerable material damage.

Minor injuries despite violent impact

The mother and her son sustained only minor injuries, according to police. After initial treatment by the emergency services on site, both were taken to the Innsbruck clinic for further examination. They were treated there as outpatients, meaning they were able to leave the clinic the same day.

The 63-year-old motorcyclist was uninjured in the collision. Material damage was caused to his motorcycle and to the stroller. The exact circumstances of the accident, in particular the question of how the collision at the pedestrian crossing could have occurred, are the subject of ongoing investigations by the responsible authorities.
