The three authors Mickaël Correia, Jean-Christophe Deveney and Lelio Bonaccorso have jointly produced a graphic novel about the history of football, reaching from ancient precursors through medieval ball battles to the emergence of the rule-based game in Great Britain.

A Trio with Different Strengths

The graphic novel is the result of a collaboration among three specialists who bring different competencies to the project. According to the publisher, Mickaël Correia is a French journalist who specializes in football history and climate reporting. Together with the French screenwriter Jean-Christophe Deveney and the Italian comic artist Lelio Bonaccorso, who also works for "La Gazzetta dello Sport," he has set out to dig really deep.
