The New York Knicks erased a historic 29-point deficit in Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs and won 107:106, taking a 3:1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

After a weak first half in which the Knicks trailed 49:76, the game appeared to be all but over. The Spurs, led by Victor Wembanyama, dominated play for long stretches and led by as many as 52:81 in the third quarter. What followed was a comeback over 21 minutes of game time, unprecedented in this magnitude in NBA Finals history.

The Knicks managed to chip away at the deficit bit by bit. Jalen Brunson, considered the central figure in the New Yorkers' play, contributed 36 points and seven assists. OG Anunoby, the Knicks' second-leading scorer with 33 points, capped his performance with the decisive basket 1.2 seconds before the end. His shot put the Knicks ahead 107:106 and sent the arena into ecstasy.
