The 70th Eurovision Song Contest, held at Vienna's Wiener Stadthalle, proved a ratings success for Austrian broadcaster ORF, drawing over 1.5 million viewers during its prime-time broadcast.

Peak viewership reached approximately 1.6 million at 22:00, with the four-hour show maintaining an average audience of 1.5 million. The pre-show 'Countdown' attracted around 900,000 viewers, while 400,000 stayed tuned for the aftershow. During the decisive jury and public voting segment, which crowned Bulgaria's Dara with her winning entry 'Bangaranga,' approximately 1.45 million viewers watched live.
Market share surged to nearly 80% during the late voting phase, reflecting strong engagement. Among younger demographics, 69% of viewers aged 12-49 and 78% of those aged 12-29 tuned in to ORF 1's coverage. Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz, ORF's television director, highlighted the event's resonance, noting "a unique connection between the diversity of the Eurovision Song Contest and the musical identity of Austria."
