Owner of Le Constellation Bar in Pretrial Detention After Alleged Violence Against His Wife

As Swiss media, including RTS and Léman Bleu, unanimously reported over the weekend, Jacques Moretti allegedly attacked his wife. The arrest reportedly took place at the family's home; the 50-year-old has been in pretrial detention since then, according to judicial circles.

In the course of the investigation, the broadcasters stated that proceedings were also being conducted «against Jessica Moretti for document forgery». This means the suspicion is directed not only at the alleged attacker, but also at the alleged victim. Exactly what Jessica Moretti is being accused of remained initially unclear; a statement from her lawyers was not available by editorial deadline.

The bar «Le Constellation» is considered a well-known meeting place for winter sports enthusiasts and locals in Crans-Montana.
