A cargo plane belonging to the Pakistani cargo airline K2 Airways crashed into the Arabian Sea while flying from Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates to Karachi. After twelve hours of searching, initial debris from the Boeing was recovered, and the search for the five crew members continues.
The K2 Airways cargo plane was traveling on Wednesday from the coastal emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates to the Pakistani port metropolis of Karachi when it crashed into the Arabian Sea. According to authorities, the Boeing aircraft was near the coast when contact with the crew was lost.
After twelve hours of searching, the Pakistani Navy recovered initial debris from the crashed Boeing from the water. Recovery operations at sea and in the water are ongoing, while the exact circumstances of the crash remain unclear.
