Patti Smith returned to Vienna for multiple performances at the Wiener Festwochen, marking her first concert in the city 50 years after her debut at the Wiener Konzerthaus in November 1976.

The 79-year-old artist performed at the Wiener Theater Akzent on Tuesday, opening with her nearly 50-year-old song 'Dancing Barefoot'. Her set included covers of Bob Dylan's 'Man in the Long Black Coat' and The Doors' 'The Crystal Ship', as well as Charlotte Day Wilson's 'Work', which gained popularity through the series 'Euphoria'.

Smith's band featured her son Jackson Smith on guitar, Tony Shanahan on bass, and Seb Rochford on drums. The performance lasted approximately one and a half hours, concluding with her iconic song 'Because the Night'.
