The "Rave The Planet" in Berlin, registered as a demonstration, proceeded peacefully according to the assessment of the police – it was the first large-scale event in the city center since the Islamist attack on Christopher Street Day three weeks ago.
The Berlin Police has drawn an overwhelmingly positive balance of the "Rave The Planet" event. According to the operational forces, there were no major disturbances. As of now, the demonstration was the first major event in central Berlin since the Islamist terrorist attack on Christopher Street Day (CSD) around three weeks ago.
The police deployed a significantly increased contingent, as is standard following security-relevant major incidents. Around Großer Tiergarten, the Brandenburg Gate, and the Tiergarten, numerous officers were visibly present. Eyewitnesses reported increased controls at access routes and a quiet but tense atmosphere within the event area.
