According to Deutsche Bahn, the general renovation of Germany's rail infrastructure is on schedule. The ongoing and planned construction work on heavily used lines had been coordinated in such a way that it would be carried out within the announced corridors, the company said. This is intended to reduce the number of construction sites — and the associated closures and delays — in the coming years.
