The ADAC has warned of congestion on several Bavarian autobahns, including the A3, A7, A8, A9, A93, A95 and the Munich autobahn ring A99. Heavy goods traffic is likely to build up particularly in the south of Bavaria because Austria has not relaxed its truck holiday driving ban.

The ADAC has identified several Bavarian autobahn sections as being particularly prone to congestion over the coming weekend, while also pointing out that cross-border freight traffic heading toward Austria will be unable to disperse easily.

These routes are particularly affected

According to the ADAC, the following routes are mainly affected in both directions: the A3 between Würzburg and Passau, the A7 between Würzburg and Füssen or Reutte, the A8 between Stuttgart and Salzburg, the A9 between Nuremberg and Munich, the A93 in the Inn Valley, the A95 to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and the Munich autobahn ring A99. The automobile club expects significantly higher traffic volumes on these sections and correspondingly longer journey times.
