The Rector of the Medical University of Vienna, Markus Müller, has initiated a societal debate about the future structure of healthcare provision in Austria.
Markus Müller, Rector of the Medical University of Vienna, has spoken out in favor of an open discussion about the future direction of healthcare provision. He sees the healthcare system at a point where fundamental structures must be put to the test in order to meet growing demands.
In this context, Müller pointed to the growing importance of hospital outpatient clinics. Over the past years, these have increasingly developed into a safety net for gaps in care that exist outside the clinics.
